OPENING TIP: The Tennessee State men’s basketball will look to even its Ohio Valley Conference record tomorrow night inside the Gentry Center as the Tigers will host Tennessee Tech at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the league matchup with a 2-3 record in OVC play.

SERIES INFORMATION: Friday will be the 77th meeting between the two long-standing OVC members. TSU leads the all-time series 39-37. The Tigers are 20-17 against the Golden Eagles when playing in Nashville.
LWU NOTES & NUMBERS:
22: The number of points that Christian Brown scored against Lindenwood. Brown logged a season-high 33 minutes on his way to his third 20+ point performance this season. The third-year Tiger leads the team with 14.7 ppg.
33: The number of blocks that Jason Jitoboh has this season. The Florida transfer matches his season-high against Lindenwood with five swats. He is second in the OVC in total blocks despite missing seven games.
FOUR FOR THE FRESHMAN: Jaylen Jones was named the OVC Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season after his performance against Lindenwood as the league announced the honors on Monday. The Nashville native came off the bench to score 12 points in 27 minutes in the Tigers’ win over Lindenwood. Jones also collected five rebounds and two assists in the home win. Saturday’s 12-point performance marked his 13th double-digit scoring game of the season.
